Easter Sunday 2011

Hubby was away for a whole week on business in Denver Colorado the week before and I spent couple of days at my parents house in Stockton. My Mother is still recovering from her surgery. It is weird because I woke up in the middle of the night and cannot figure out where I am. Did few things like walking Mom's dog at the nearby park and giving it a bath, shopping and cooking for them. I left on Wednesday. I need to be home so they can deliver the scaffolding's that hubby bought.
Hubby came back on Friday and we loaded the boxes on the truck and headed to the cabin. It started to shower as soon as we get there. The rain was not heavy so unloaded the boxes right away.

Saturday, Hubby once again and headed to the back side of the property. He has accomplished a lot. He has cut all the brush on the left side of the house all the way down to the boundary post. I once again brought his lunch this time all the way down. It was so steep I have to find me a stick to give me leverage.

Spring

Third weekend of the month we are at the cabin as usual. It is warm but it gets cold in the evening. There are not too many burn days so Saturday I tried to burn the leaves that were piled in two different locations by the swimming pool. They were piled up that it is wet underneath. Hubby also still working on clearing the back of the property. Lunch time I brought his lunch down and decided to snap few pictures.

I have to stop couple of times when I was getting back up to the house even if I did the diagonal up climb. It is just harder to get up the inclined backyard. I sat at the flower box for a while to catch my breath. I need to get in shape.

Spring Flowers

I am missing my flower garden in the old house in Alameda. At this time of the year the front yard would be filled with rose flowers making passers by turn their heads around. We had the best front yard in the block. I also miss the deck surrounded by my beautiful flowers in the boxes. I wonder if the couple who bought the house keep them up. Still trying to develop the garden in Sac. I cannot do much at the backyard until we get the pavers on. Too much to do with so little time. I am also afraid that my plants will die while we are in our vacay.

April project

It is spring and the flowers in the yard are blooming. Started a new project at the front of the house. The rocks came from our yard in Apple Hill. It was removed from the lawn in front of the house. We wanted grass instead of rocks and use it for a little rocky accent. It was a tedious  work. I have to pick the rocks from the back of the truck one by one. The first load was not enough so more for next.
